Newell Brand’s Distribution Center Expansion Sees Walls Tilting with Expected Q1 Completion

VICTORVILLE, CALIF. – (October 16, 2018) – Stirling Capital Investments today announces it has reached a major milestone in the development of the lease expansion to accommodate the growth of tenant Newell Brands (NYSE: NWL) at Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA). Late last week, Stirling marked the occasion with a wall tilting celebration that attracted prominent figures including Mayor Gloria Garcia, representatives from Supervisor Robert A. Lovingood’s office, and the individuals associated with the construction of the project.

“This expansion project is on a fast-tracked timeline to completion, and that wouldn’t be possible without the pro-business nature of the City of Victorville and our team of dedicated contractors and consultants,” said Dougall Agan, president and CEO of Stirling Development. “It’s partnerships like these that allow for swift construction schedules, and cost-effective, high-quality facilities.”

In July, Stirling and Newell Brands signed a 466,255-square-foot lease expansion at the Distribution Centre 3 (DC 3) at SCLA, bringing the total building size to 1,050,667 square feet. Norm Wilson & Sons is the general contractor for the DC 3 expansion and is on track to complete the project in time for a March 2019 occupancy. Newell plans to add 30 more warehouse jobs to the local economy with the completed expansion.

Stirling has completed more than 4.5 million square feet of Class-A industrial warehouse and distribution facilities at SCLA.
